Which documents and what minimum age are needed to rent a car in Marrakech?

Three documents suffice: passport or ID card, a driving licence held for 2 years minimum, and a bank card in the driver's name. The minimum age is 23 for saloons and 4x4s, and 27 for supercars and the Rolls-Royce.

How much do the deposit, the excess and payment cost for a rental in Marrakech?

The deposit ranges from 5,000 to 30,000 MAD by vehicle, never charged and released within 7 days. The excess spans 8,000 to 25,000 MAD, waivable at 200 MAD per day. Payment is accepted by card, bank transfer or cash in MAD.

Where and how do you collect a rental car in Marrakech?

The vehicle is delivered free of charge to Ménara airport, Guéliz, Hivernage, Palmeraie, the Medina gates and Amelkis. Handover takes 12 minutes on average after the call, including at car park P1 of Terminal 1, near the exit.

Beyond the free zone, delivery costs 4 MAD per kilometre, one way from the Guéliz base. Return at a hotel or riad follows the same rules as the pickup.

Can you drive the rented car outside Marrakech, to the desert or the Atlas mountains?

Yes. Mileage stays unlimited across Moroccan territory, with no restriction toward the Atlas mountains, Agafay or Ourika. The vehicle never leaves Morocco, including Ceuta and Melilla, regardless of the rental duration or destination chosen at booking.
