Why choose a Range Rover in Marrakech?

The Range Rover is the only vehicle in our fleet that clears the Agafay track and stays comfortable on the ring road. Its 213 mm of ground clearance covers the 6 kilometres of track without grounding, where a saloon has to stop.

Marrakech imposes two contradictory demands. In town you want a quiet, air-conditioned car that fits the 4 metres of a Guéliz parking space. Outside town the road degrades fast: potholes on the R2017 past Tnine Ourika, dry wadis on the Agafay approaches, gravel on the final 11 kilometres to Lalla Takerkoust.

The Range Rover Sport handles both. Terrain Response in Sand mode deals with the Agafay sand. The air suspension lifts 75 mm to cross a ford. And at 120 km/h on the N8 towards Essaouira the cabin sits at 62 decibels — the level of an ordinary conversation.

  • Clearing the Agafay track with no underbody damage, unlike a saloon.
  • Carrying 4 passengers and 4 bags up to the Tichka pass at 2,260 metres.
  • Running air conditioning at 45 °C in July with the engine loaded on Atlas climbs.
  • Reaching Palmeraie villas whose driveways are not surfaced.

Which Range Rover models can you rent in Marrakech?

Three Range Rover models are available in Marrakech: the Sport at 3,400 MAD per day, the Evoque at 2,800 MAD and the Cullinan at 6,500 MAD. Each model has its own page, with its own specifications and conditions.

The Evoque is enough for the city and the paved Ourika roads. The Sport is the default choice as soon as an itinerary includes track. The Cullinan is a ceremony car: it goes out mainly for weddings and hotel transfers.

How much does it cost to rent a Range Rover in Marrakech?

Renting a Range Rover in Marrakech costs 2,800 to 6,500 MAD per day depending on the model. The rate includes comprehensive insurance, unlimited mileage, 24-hour assistance and city delivery. Nothing is added on return.

The rate drops with duration. A 7-day rental works out 15 % cheaper than seven separate days. Past 28 days the booking moves to a long-term contract with servicing included.

Only three items are ever charged on top, and always quoted before booking: full excess waiver at 200 MAD per day, additional drivers beyond the first, and delivery outside Marrakech at 4 MAD per kilometre.

  • Included: comprehensive, theft and fire cover with unlimited third-party liability.
  • Included: unlimited mileage across the whole of Morocco.
  • Included: 24-hour roadside assistance and a replacement vehicle within 24 hours.
  • Included: free delivery and collection in Marrakech and at Ménara airport.

What are the conditions for renting a Range Rover in Marrakech?

Renting a Range Rover in Marrakech requires a minimum age of 25, a licence held for 3 years and a 20,000 MAD card pre-authorisation. Three documents are required: passport, driving licence and a bank card in the driver's name.

A national licence is sufficient for nationals of the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States and Canada, for stays of up to one year. An international permit is needed only if your licence does not use the Latin alphabet.

The deposit pre-authorisation is taken at handover and released within 7 days of return. It is never charged unless damage is recorded jointly at the return inspection.

Where do you collect a Range Rover in Marrakech?

The Range Rover is delivered free to Ménara airport, to hotels in Guéliz and Hivernage, to villas in the Palmeraie and to the gates of the Medina. Airport handover takes place at car park P1, 40 metres from the Terminal 1 exit.

For riads inside the pedestrian zone, handover happens at the nearest vehicle-accessible point: Bab Doukkala, Bab Laksour or Place des Ferblantiers depending on your address. A porter carries the luggage to the riad door at no extra cost.

Flights are tracked. If yours is delayed, waiting is free for up to 2 hours after actual landing, including overnight.

Which routes suit a Range Rover from Marrakech?

Three routes genuinely use a Range Rover from Marrakech: the Agafay desert at 30 km, of which 6 km is track; Ouarzazate at 196 km over the Tichka pass; and the Ourika valley at 68 km, up to the tracks above Setti Fatma.

For Essaouira the Range Rover adds nothing over a saloon: the N8 is expressway for all 175 kilometres. Save it for the itineraries where the tarmac ends.

What do customers say about renting a Range Rover in Marrakech?

The Range Rover scores 4.9 out of 5 across our 2026 rentals. The three most frequent comments concern clearing the Agafay track, the condition of the vehicle and punctual delivery at Ménara.
